About us
Our founder, Mr. Martin Schneider-Lau pursued his dream by moving to Hamburg from Braunschweig, started up with a 3 years apprenticeship in Atlantic Film, a film laboratory company.
After completion, he stayed one more year in Atlantic Film as a Film Kopien Fertiger (Film Copying Technician). Then he worked 2 years in Bergmann Film as an Intern.
After that he started his career as a Cameraman, a freelancer.
In 1980, he founded his first company AVM Schneider located the basement of his house, as a small Film and Post Production Company.

He worked for the leading advertising agencies like LINTAS, McCann, JVM S+J etc. at the time.
In 1987, AVM registered as a limited company - AVM Schneider GmbH.

In 1991, AVM Schneider GmbH moved to an office in Leunastraße, Hamburg as a Post Production House, where equipped with 3 Avid-suites, 2 Editing-suites, 1 Flame EFX-suite and a 50 square meters Bluebox Studio.

At that time, more companies came and worked with us like Neutrogena, OPEL and Universal.

In 2000, AVM Schneider GmbH finally changed its name to AVM moving pictures GmbH.

We are always ahead of the times, as soon as the computerised era came, in 2005 AVM moved to Hamburg downtown in order to have more flexibility in production.

With the keen competition in Film Productions, in 2007 AVM moved to Hummelsbüttel, Hamburg as a Film Production House with our own Post Production; and we started to work with a team of freelancers.

In 2011 Miss Flora Schneider-Lau joined AVM as CEO assistant. Flora Schneider-Lau came form Hong Kong and she speaks 2 Chinese languages and English. She is responsible for the Aisan Pacific Region.

At the 1st of June 2014, AVM finally moved to Tangstedt, a beautiful village and very close to Hamburg. With the calm and peace, we became more creative.

Nowadays our workplace is the World.

Our mission is to produce the Best Film to our clients according to their needs at an affordable budget, so as to benefit our clients.

We are working in a WIN WIN situation.
